    That’s supposed to be news? Some might remember that it actually happened back in 1982.

    Sunlight was advertising a soap “made with lemon juice” and people actually drank it. Before that, companies never used juices as part of cleaning products, though they’re everywhere nowadays.

      Wow! I’m guessing it was incidents like that which led to a lot of the HUGE warnings we see on labels these days, since the statement “Not intended for human consumption” was obviously not enough. Thanks for the links to the original stories. And it’s always fun to see the scanned newspapers!

    Many years ago, I regularly used to walk past a gas station/convenience store which had pump-toppers advertising the price of milk per gallon.
