I think that maybe there are anti-choicers who’ve confused this:

With this:

I am always annoyed to see the anti-abortion crowd complain about the blood of the innocent fetuses that have been or will be aborted. As soon as those babies are born they don’t care about them, so why does it matter if they’re aborted due to a decision by the parent?

    This is ridiculous.
Stop interfering and imposing your viewpoints on the lives of others. How about just letting people live and make their own decisions? It’s not going to hurt you. An abortion is their decision to make. I don’t tell you what to do with your body, why should you tell me what to do with mine?

But hey, if you’re going to tell me what to do with my body, I’ll tell you that you repulse me and could afford to lose some weight.
And before you say, isn’t that a bit personal, think about what you’re telling me what to do with my body…

Wow. You know that fat people on both sides of the abortion debate, as well as fence-sitters, can see your comment, right?

At least pro-lifers can claim that they believe the state has a moral duty to assert control over women’s bodies to protect people’s [according to their argument] lives. And at least some of them seem to sincerely believe that. You seem to believe that people have a moral obligation to cater to your whims about which bodies are icky. Only your whims, mind, or at least only the whims of the majority in your particular culture.

Um, yeah, what closetpuritan said. I get that antichoicers have some hella repulsive opinions. But fatphobia or body policing of any kind are NOT okay here.

It’s not that it’s personal. It’s that the way to fight one kind of oppression is not with another.
