I could use some help

I hate doing this again dear readers, but I’m in dire straits. As many of you know, I’ve been house sitting for a relative for the last few months and I’ll be moving from Pensacola to this place in the near future. I still have to pay water, utilities, and rent for my place in Pensacola and I’ve come up short this month. My roommate just text me and said that our rental agency is demanding this months rent, plus late fees in the next three days or we risk eviction. My portion of the rent plus late fees is $500, of which I currently have $150. If anyone has funds to donate, I would be extremely appreciative.  Thank you. I also have a GoFundMe campaign set up, so if you are not in the position to donate, please spread the word.

Edit: 2/18/16

Thank you to everyone who was able to donate. With your help, I have been able to pay rent this month.  If anyone is still willing and able to assist, I have a few small bills to take care of-utilities and water (totaling $150).  Thanks again to everyone.

The truth behind this video will shock you!

This is Timur the goat:

This is Amur the Siberian tiger:

Media sensations Timur and Amur reside at Russia’s Safari Park. The park runs a breeding program for Siberian tigers, and as part of that, they feed their tigers live food every week. Timur was supposed to be dinner for Amur, but apparently, when the dinner bell rang, Amur decided not to consume the goat. In addition, not only did Timur display a striking lack of fear around Amur, but he even took control of the enclosure, forcing the predator to sleep on the roof of his own lair.  Timur has been allowed to stay in the enclosure with Amur, and the two have apparently become friends, as seen in the following video of the two goofing off and romping together:

Officials at the Safari Park would have people believe this video presents two animals, predator and prey, playing around as if they are friends. But that’s a lie. A not-so-clever deception carefully crafted to hide an agenda. This is no friendship. Instead, it is gay propaganda!!!

At last! White History Month is here!

It’s that time of year again-Black History Month. You know, that month of celebrations of the achievements, skills, accomplishments, and history of one of the largest ethnic groups in the United States. A group whose members do not typically learn of the historical accomplishments of their people in public schools or universities. A group comprised of people whose scientific and artistic achievements are not widely known by the general populace. A group that has traditionally experienced discrimination and marginalization in USAmerican culture. But I’m not here to talk about Black History Month. And why is that? Because it has come to my attention-again-that members of another racial group feel it is unfair that African-Americans get One Whole Month to discuss their history and accomplishments. Leave aside the fact that the history of this other racial group is taught in schools and colleges around the country as the default history. Never mind that the histories of African-Americans are considered ‘electives’, rather than part of the default discussion of U.S. history. None of that is important. What is important is that many members of this other group feel left out (marginalized, even) and believe they too, should get a month to honor their achievements. And who can tell them no? Not I. In fact, I feel kinda sad that white people don’t have an entire month to learn more about their history. It really isn’t fair. Therefore, in response to the calls for fairness that I’ve seen on Facebook and Twitter year, after year, after year, I give you White History Month. Enjoy! Continue reading “At last! Police Behaving Badly 2.3.16

00
From the use of excessive force to stealing drugs from suspects…from racial profiling to abusing the power of their badges…from sexually assaulting suspects to planting evidence…there is a never-ending stream of stories of law enforcement officials behaving irresponsibly, unethically, immorally, and/or criminally. Examples of such offenses occur almost every day. Many are likely not even heard of by the media. Moreover, law enforcement officials so often aren’t charged with crimes, and if they are, they’re found ‘not guilty’. While we can’t be sure cops will face punishment for their actions, we can be sure they’ll receive support from the community and politicians-no matter how heinous their actions are. It has become increasingly clear that we are living in something of a police state. Here are five recent examples that help paint an image of the United States as a police state:

Haven’t the indigenous people of Australia suffered enough?

Imagine that you’re an app developer. You think you have a great idea for a game that you want to put on the Google Play store. You consider yourself a reasonable, rational person who wants to be well-informed about the development process.  At some point in the process, you would probably come across the Google Play Developer Program Policies, and specifically this section:

Violence and Bullying: Depictions of gratuitous violence are not allowed. Apps should not contain materials that threaten, harass or bully other users.
Hate Speech: We don’t allow content advocating against groups of people based on their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Upon reading the above content guidelines for Google Play’s app store, you (the reasonable, rational game developer) would probably realize that a game that promotes bullying against lesbians would be prohibited. You’d also most likely realize that a game advocating for violence against disabled people would be a no-no as well. And of course a game that calls for violence against a racial or ethnic group would be absolutely out of the question. But that’s you, the reasonable, rational game developer, and not everyone is like you. No, some people think there is nothing wrong with developing a game like Survival Island 3:
