As I said over at my former blogging network, this is a statement of total, pure, and unadulterated squee — much as I felt when surrounded by kittens last summer.

That this is my new home is incredibly thrilling for so many reasons.

I have enjoyed being part of existing communities and platforms in the past, but being part of the foundations of a new one is a unique opportunity I could have never imagined having. Our collective, collaborative approach to writing, with an explicit social justice orientation and carefully-crafted policies, is exactly the sort of thing I hardly dared to dream of, yet here I am.
