I’m going to be at Skepticon for the next few days, and I probably won’t be blogging much. So here’s a cool picture that makes me happy. It’s a picture I took a few weeks ago of Why Are You Atheists So Angry? 99 Things That Piss Off the Godless — at Barbara’s Bookstore in O’Hare Airport!
If you see a copy of any of my books in a bookstore or a library — take a picture, and send it to me! It always makes me happy. (And if my books aren’t in your local bookstore or library — ask them to carry them! They’re distributed by major book distributors, including Ingram, Baker & Taylor, and IPG.)
And yes, I know I’m next to Deepak Chopra. I’m always next to Deepak Chopra in the Religion section in bookstores. Fucking alphabet.

I like seeing you next to Chopra. Gives me hope.
I just started reading my copy. Back when I first bought it I think I’d have been all in. Now I just can’t help thinking that I’m less angry about religion than I am about sexism and misogyny and so I’m more willing to support progressive religion at the expense of sexist, misogynist atheism (or even secularism). Give me a feminist Christian or Muslim over 20 Richard Dawkinses, please.
One of the universal questions: Why are atheist books in the religious section? just asking….
Alphabetical order makes you the perfect author to write Why Deepak Chopra is Bad for Your Health.
‘…a feminist Christian or Muslim …’
There over there; shelved next to the Black Klansmen and the Jewish Nazis.
That’s revoltingly offensive, equating all Christians and Muslims to bigots and executors of genocide. Not to mention patently absurd. Do you think all the suffragists were atheists? Do you think all the women of my mother’s generation who fought for pay equity and reproductive rights and laws against marital rape were atheists? Do you think all the people who are currently fighting for abortion access and equal representation and against FGM and rape culture are atheists? I can’t begin to tell you how insulting you are.
