This reminds me, apropos of nothing, does Edwina Rogers still, like, exist? Whatever happened with that?
Of course, as an EEO employer, American Atheists can’t discriminate based on religion (or lack thereof).
They should totally hire DJ Grothe! He’s got the blog comments down pat!
Improbable Joe,
Considering all the calls for DJ Grothe to step down as Maximum Leader of JREF, perhaps he might be interested in the AA PR job.
Maybe they can find a Republican lobbyist! Think of all the access to Congress they could get!
Now is this PR job opening the result of recent events? Or is that just a coincidence?
@Leftsidepositive: Yesterday I said the best thing the JREF could do is to have a bunch of interviews with her about how pro-gay, pro-women, pro-science the Republican party is to distract everyone for a bit.
Pardon the theistic expression, but…speak of the devil!
I watched the Silverman interview at the end of the “speak of the devil” link.
I remain singularly unimpressed with the caliber of this hire. All of the right wing baggage aside, Edwina Rogers simply does not come across as particularly bright. Her rambling commentary about what the SCA initiatives will be is sloppy and inarticulate. This is not the kind of leadership the atheist movement needs.
