The book is done

The book is done. I just sent the manuscript for Why Are You Atheists So Angry? 99 Things that Piss Off the Godless to the formatters (the folks who format manuscripts for ebook and print-on-demand self-publishing).

I still have a shit-ton of work to do on this project: setting up accounts with Kindle, etc., creating promo cards, registering the title, some legal stuff with the city, etc. Most of which has to be done in time for the Reason Rally. And, in classically awesome timing, I’m leaving Friday for a week-long speaking tour of Alabama, South Carolina, Virginia, and Chicago. (I’ll post tour details soon.) So I won’t be back to my full-on regular blogging and snorking schedule right away. But the actual creation of the book — the writing/ revising/ copy editing/ proofreading/ HTML/ endnotes stuff — that’s done. I will soon have my head out of this bubble, and will have at least one foot back in the land of the living. And I should be back to some sort of blogging by Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks to everyone for your patience. I can’t wait to get back to it.

Awesome. Your angry Atheist talks are my favorite. Mostly because you are absolutely right about all of it. My guess is that I wont be able to put this book down until I am finished reading it.

Yes!! You were talking about it when you were in Fayetteville. This is exciting. Can’t wait to read it and hopefully educate some of my theist friends with “polite anger” 😉

We get you back? Awesome. Looking forward to the book. Don’t forget to provide an ePub format for those of us who have iPads (and I think the Nook uses that too). I expect to be able to use the book in the “why does it matter to you, since you don’t believe in god” arguments. I already send people to your speach on the subject.

Congrats on almost being finished; cannot wait to be able to read you regularly again! And I’ll be buying that book as soon as possible, so please be sure to share that info with us.

Glad to see this announcement! I have your original article on this subject prominently displayed in my “favorites.” Hopefully, your book will supply some badly needed extra income.

When I started out blogging about Atheism, I was softer. After a while I saw that religious folks need to understand why we are pissed off and that they are usually clueless about what is obvious to us. I look forward to your book. Thank you.

Woo! Congratulations! I’m sure you will, but let us know when it hits the shelves. I’d love to make sure our local book store – Book People in Austin – has a few copies on hand.
