Atheists are not atheists because it’s trendy. Atheism gets treated with a tremendous amount of bigotry and hostility, and atheists often risk losing family, friends, even jobs and personal safety, when we come out as atheists. People don’t go through that just to be trendy. Pass it on: if we say it enough times to enough people, it may get across.

Wear? If you were actually trendy you’d have atheist tattoos. And piercings.
Trends come and go, but there’ll be no god forever! I’ve got to confess, I totally became an Atheist because it’s trendy… gives me an edge… makes me a “bad” girl. jk jk! I love your daily memes. Keep it up! Oh, also… the hostility thing’s for sure!

atheism is “trendy?” that’s news to me, but if it is, i’m glad. some trends stick.
i’m not an atheist because it’s trendy, myself. i came to it very painfully; i really wanted to believe in magic supernatural powers that loved me and helped me in my life. but i am too logical to sustain that kind of belief, despite the social pressure to do so. still, a loving, all seeing, all powerful flying spaghetti monster who smites evildoers would be nice. oh well, i guess i’ll just have to make due with this piece of toast with the face of Demeter on it.
That’s silly. It’s not trendy to be an atheist. At best, it’s trendy to be an accommodationist of the type that says, “I don’t believe in God, but that nasty Dawkins/Hitchens/Harris is such a big meanie!” If confrontationalist atheism is starting to look popular, perhaps that’s because it makes some good points?
