Atheists have hope for the future as much as anyone else. We don’t have hope for life after death, but we have hopes for this life to be better — for ourselves, for others, and for the people who will be around after we die. And we’re just as willing to work to make those hopes come true as anyone. Pass it on: if we say it enough times to enough people, it may get across. And Happy New Year!
Like all the atheist memes that you’ve put up I agree completely. They are obvious and should, really should, have to go without saying.
With the realization that the natural world is all there is, atheism fosters an acute awareness of the responsibility to actively create the type of world in which one wishes to live.
