Atheists are not shut off from the universe. Many atheists experience deep connection with the universe, and a sense of transcendent wonder at its majesty and complexity. We just don’t think those experiences imply anything about God or an immaterial world. Pass it on: if we say it enough times to enough people, it may get across.
So, let me get this straight…
The folks who ignore what actually happens in the universe. Who close their eyes to the substance of reality. Who decide it is more fun to make up stories about the universe, rather than actually experience the universe that really exists…
These folks think that atheists are shut off from the universe?
I am part of the universe. An infinitesimal part, which may get crushed at any moment, but a part nonetheless.
