I suppose I should warn listeners here that they lyrics have some religious themes and this might actually be a Christian Rock Band. But whatever, it’s still great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOkwsvKO2tM

I know, I know, only one song but, well, I just can’t resist mentioning Lindsey Stirling here too :

(Elements)

Among so many of her other songs. So hard to choose just one.

Learning To Fly but also plenty of others. I’d probably be pretty easy to hynotise really, a lot of music entrances me.

I’d have to go with Godspeed You Black Emperor – Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, particularly track 4 Antennas to Heaven Fair warning, its 19 mins long.

And can’t forget… Congrats on the new place!

I remember hearing it for the first time in the middle of the night back in 1971 on my first am/fm radio, which I would put on the floor next to my bed at night (near an outlet since it needed to be plugged in). It took several days before I managed to hear it again.

I’m not sure how much is memory from that first time hearing it, but it still gives me the dream-like waking-up in the middle of the night not sure if I’m asleep or awake feeling when I listen to it today.

Sometimes the original, sometimes the London Philharmonic’s orchestral version (which unfortunately seems to have been taken down from YouTube).

I have to be in the right mood for it, but when I am, it sucks me in forever. It has a very dark, sensual, ragged edge to it.
