    On a related topic of studies of parts of the earth that we now know less about than good bit of pluto:
    A report on deep sea vents that when the fluid cools deposit talc. https://eos.org/articles/novel-vents-built-from-talc-found-far-from-mid-ocean-rift This is off the mid cayman rise in the Caribbean. It is interesting in that venting here is not coming from a normal mid ocean ridge (black smokers) but a lesser deep sea feature. The basement is different being ultramaific rock, that when fluids propagate thru it, produce fluids that deposit talc, where black smokers come thru basalt.
