When I first tried to buy an adult coloring book, I was disappointed to find that most of the books available don’t have a lot of detail in their designs. The books that are detailed usually have designs printed on every page — markers bleed through and destroy half the images! And it always seems that the best images are on the reverse from each other. So I made my own coloring book with lots of details (some quite small, others a little easier to see), because that’s what I like to color, and I printed everything on its own page, so I didn’t have to worry about marker bleed. Here it is, a coloring book for the detail oriented from the hands of a detail-oriented colorer.

This book is fabulous. Look at the kind of images you can find inside:

Every image is filled with intricate detail. When you’re done coloring them in, they’ll look like gorgeous stained glass. This is a perfect book for unleashing color creativity. And coloring can be incredibly soothing. A book like this is excellent for people who need a relaxing activity at home, but it’s also ideal for those whose jobs require a lot of sitting around doing virtually nothing. I myself would have given a lot to have something like this when I was chained to my desk in a call center.

With Prime shipping, this lovely book will arrive in time to brighten up everyone’s Christmas. How perfect is that?

Yep. That’s a really neat holiday (or any time & reason) gift idea.

Personally I do a lot of doodling in the margins whilst waiting with notebook in hand at various things and lectures sketching galaxies and ships and dinosaurs and Daleks and jellyfish , octopi, plants and all sort of other stuff. Very relaxing and only really requires one pen – but adult colouring books are apparently all the rage currently and I do like the ideas of them too. Anything that lets people express their artistic and creative side – which I think is an instinct almost all of us have to some degree or other is good.
