Hmm… the reporter gets the name of the denomination wrong, it’s Unitarian Universal*ist* — and many of the churches, if not most, are Welcoming Congregations for LGBT.You wouldn’t have much to argue with on rationality, either. UUs are sort of a post-dogmatic denomination, and most congregations are either cool with atheists or dominated by them. In fact, one of my favorite ministers once preached on how glad he is not to believe in an all-powerful God, because the evils of the world would be harder to take if intentional.That was Bruce Bode, now at Quimper UU Fellowship in Port Townsend; check him out if you get a chance.

A lot more same-sex couples getting to suffer enjoy the same right to marry that heteros do”I said something similar over on my recently created blog (thanks go to Dana for making me bet of my lazy butt and finally getting it done:-) ) I said that if people want to stop Gays having sex, then they should let them get married!Gay friends of mine have been “Married” for years already and honestly, the world never stopped spinning (though some would love to see it start spinning backwards to the dim, dark middle ages) and with a bit of help they had their respective wills crafted in such a way, that the survivor will inherit the Marital estate.

The day Gays began getting married I sat out on my back steps watching for Western Civilization to end as predicted because someone told me it would be a colorful sight. Man, was I disappointed when things just went on as usual, completely without the predicted fireworks. Dana, there should be truth in advertising laws applied to people who predict Western Civilization is going to end. I mean, I wasted a whole evening watching for the end when I could have been doing something worthwhile, like masturbating.
