Josh, there is nothing incompatible between my being sorry my post caused you additional pain and thinking you’re treating other people unfairly and shortsightedly. In fact, that’s exactly the sort of thing people do when they’re in pain. This post exists because that treating other people unfairly and shortsightedly causes them additional pain. They get consideration too.

As for your prior comment, no, I’m not going to quote it here because the meat of it is a really bad analogy. Celebrating a huge step backward is nothing like celebrating a small step forward. Take that out, and the rest of your comment is elaboration on the two words I did use.
