“Put gays to death” may have been a hack. This isn’t.

The Minnesota for Marriage campaign is claiming that their message on Facebook saying gays should be “put to death” was the result of a hack, but whether or not that’s the case, their messaging elsewhere has been just as hostile and ridiculous. On the Minnesota Pastors for Marriage site, which is linked from Minnesota for Marriage and run by the Minnesota Family Council, several sermons openly and shamelessly describe gay people as the enemy of God himself.

Jim Garlow claims that “Satan is obsessed in destroying marriage, the coming together” of “male and female”. Kenyn Cureton absurdly compares the rise of gay marriage to “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” demolishing a house, and describes homosexuality as “open rebellion against the divine pattern” and a “deceptive perversion”. He later parallels studies by gay researchers to “Joseph Goebel’s Nazi philosophy of propaganda” and says gays are “lost people trapped in Satan’s snare” who “find themselves as slaves” for trying to “achieve freedom from the so-called shackles of biblical morality and traditional institutions”. And John Piper states that “the first way to honor marriage in our day is not to confuse it with the abomination of homosexual or lesbian partnerships.”

So of course Minnesota for Marriage doesn’t want us put to death – they “strongly believe that people are entitled to love whomever they choose”, after all. They just think our love is an abomination and a perversion, and we’re “slaves to sin”, lost, rebelling against God, dupes of Satan, and a lot like Nazis. This is coming from their own website.

By the way, the Minnesota Family Council previously hosted documents accusing gay people of pedophilia, bestiality, and “ingesting urine and feces”.

“You can love whoever you want, but we reserve the right to kill you for doing so if it’s someone we don’t approve of.”

What is it that the Minnesota ministers hate about loving your fellow human being?

    Mr.Kosta @ # 3 – apparently you haven’t spent much time following anti-gay propaganda.

You see, if you really want to denounce “sodomy”, you’ve got to describe it in prurient, embellished detail. One of the hyperchristians “experts” on this particular sin came up with* some “estimates” of how much bodily wastes an “average” gay man fellates in a lifetime, a statisticoid often repeated in “pro-family”** literature with barely-repressed excitement.

    * You need not ask from where.

** Okay, you find a way to describe such a concentrated sequence of lies without using scare quotes!

Also, nobody better tell these sex-obsessed hyperchristians that there are plenty of hetero couples who engage in oral sex and analingus (Not sure if I spelled that right!). Their tiny lil’ heads may explode. Or they’ll just be sitting around feeling even more deprived.

Well at least they’re not homophobic. They’re just worried that gays will bring down the wrath of God and end civilization as we know it. That’s totally different from being homophobic.

Just like recent high-profile “hackings” of Republican twitter accounts, isn’t it strange that the hacker breaks into their accounts to declare exactly the same sentiments that the account owner claims publicly?

seems that these Christians forget their own bible which says that their god abandons people and intentionally makes some never able to accept it in the first place. So, their claiming that anyone is a “slave to sin” is only admiting that their god is less then omnipotent, omniscient and omnibenevolent.

Pity that such people like conservative Christians can’t remember that recordign mediums exist and that this does make their attempts to lie rather amusing.

Their endless meme, “if you practice anything-other-than- het-missionary-with-the-lights-out you practice everything ever called a perversion” drives me nuts. People simply do not work that way. It’s a factually false binary.

But doesn’t EMHE usually build a nicer house after it demolishes? This analogy kind of subverts its maker’s goal, doesn’t it?

Annnd what chyaaarming people they’re ..um, not.

Verily did Jesus say judge not and let (s)he who is without sin cast the first stone and all that other stuff these “christ~ians” ignore.

Because they’d rather hate and judge and condemn and bully and act like asswipes and thugs just as their idolised Rabbi didn’t.

How depressing and expected and miserable they are.

    How love-less and cruel.

    Humans.

    So often I wish I weren’t one.
