( to the tune of “Milkshake”)
Doom is out
Most scores are quite high
‘cept IGN, why oh why
7.1?
This site’s so done
We all should shun
The whole thing, son
Bro bro bro bro bro
How dare they rate it
So low low low low
Time for petition
Oh no no no no
Different opinion
So so so so so
Get rid of it
Gamerbros bring facepalms to the yard
And they’re like “This score’s too low.
And we, like, don’t dig this bro.
Metacritic should ditch them tho…”
Entitled geeks get reviews all wrong
So they’re like, “this review sucks”
And I’m like, “Get a life, you fucks.
I could teach you, for a thousand bucks.”
They gave a higher score to this year’s Call of Duty. I realize there were probably different reviewers but the criticisms for Doom seemed more apt to CoD.
But that isn’t the point.
The point is petitioning to have a site blacklisted because it gave a score these pukes didn’t like is ridiculous.
Wait, aren’t those the very people who cry “censorship!!!!” whenever a female character gets to wear more than 10 square inches of fabric?
Probably.
And by probably, I mean absolu-fucking-luty
Actually no. Well not all of them since I haven’t met all of them (nor would I want to). But I do know Jim Sterling who has supported female characters being treated as something more than eye candy and he thinks IGN (and review scores in general – especially metacritic) are messed up.

“Actually”…can we not? Because giliell’s has a point about gamers.
Jim Sterling is a treasure, and it’s because of his tweet about the petition that I knew it was a thing.
Especially when he tweeted something to the effect of “whenever gamer whine about review scores, I cum.”
Personally I think sites should do away with scores, period. Bring reviews back to what they actually are; opinions. Then maybe these whiny tools would remember that.
