Neil deGrasse Tyson – “The Perimeter of Ignorance”

Fantastic speech. It even touches on the fact that despite being potentially the smartest man on the planet, Newton believed in some pretty silly things too — not because he came to the conclusions intellectually, but because they were the mode of the time.

Hat tip Troythulu.

This is one of my favorite talks by Neil, especially the part near the end, and shows how intellectually bankrupt God of the Gaps thinking can be if you let it put a period after a question and end any further investigation. BTW, thanks a bunch for the hat tip… I’m glad to have contributed something interesting.
