No Heaven

Three quick things, just because they’re slightly related — a link and two videos.

A bishop suggests we all live as though there’s no heaven or God in the fundamentalists’ sense.

This song by DJ Champion, a Montreal electric scene DJ, just absolutely rocks. It’s been stuck in my head for like a year now, on and off:

And I don’t know how many of you had heard it before it featured in this trailer:

… which, by the way, I’m stoked as hell about. The trailer may be attempting to usurp Fallout 3’s rightful place as “first good post-apocalyptic FPS/RPG hybrid”, but if it’s as good as it looks, I can’t wait to play it in multiplayer co-op mode with Jodi and whoever else in the household can actually run it on their respective computers.

I had to do some digging for the artist name, (the hubby and I love the song btw). You should give the artist the props they deserve. (unless its there and i’ve just missed it, in that case … nvm…)

Sorry, my bad, you’re absolutely right. DJ Champion, a Montreal electric scene DJ that has recently gotten a bit of airtime with that single, No Heaven.

If you get a chance to see Champion in concert, do so. The energy is phenomenal.
Then again, I haven’t been able to really enjoy the first album since, as it’s rather tame and doesn’t come anywhere close to capturing the live experience, so if you want to continue to enjoy the music, maybe you should stay away from the show…

Ummm, Fallout 3 WAS the first, that makes this game the second good post-apocalyptic FPS/RPG hybrid. That is, unless video games cease to exist once something new/better comes along. And, of course, if this game turns out to be as interesting as it looks.

Sinned, I definitely agree. The trailer makes it seem like Borderlands is the first though. It almost lost me on that point alone. (That, and the plot of the game is they’re looking for a cache of alien technology known as… The Vault.)

There, amended the post to clarify.
