Friday Cat Blogging: Catfish Blogging

And now, a cute picture of our cat.

Catfish often likes to keep me company while I write, as has been documented before. But here, she seems to determined, not just to keep me company, but to get in on the action herself. (Or maybe she’s just determined to get in my way, so I pay attention to her instead of that ridiculous piece of plastic I’m so fixated on.)

So I thought I’d let her take a guest spot this week. Here’s a few thoughts Catfish has come up with while walking across my keyboard:

nmmmm

loooooooooooooooooookiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

She’s new to this blogging business, so while I encourage lively debate as always, I’m going to ask commenters to be gentle. And no, I don’t agree with her about the nmmmm issue; but she does make some interesting points that I think are worth considering.

I enjoy your cat’s commentary on “loooooooooooooooooookiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii” hardly anyone discusses the Norse gods anymore. Keep up the good work, Catfish!

I must respectfully disagree with her on “,u888888888888y6777777777777777”
See, it’s actually far more of a “;s33333333333333333333n999999999999” I just don’t see how she can’t see that. I mean, I know she’s a smart cat… how can she think otherwise?
But I have to respectfully disagree with you on the “nmmmmmm” issue. I think she’s right on with that.
(I’m also kinda impressed she came up with a word. I guess it’s all part of the “thousand monkeys at typewriters could come up with Shakespeare” thing.)
But here’s the bigger question. How does that affect you, as an Atheist, having a cat that clearly believes in Norse mythology, enough to invoke the name of Loki?

Oh, my Norse god of chaos. I didn’t even *notice* that the last word was “Loki.”
I think this is the sign I’ve been waiting for.
I hereby abjure my atheism and embrace Norse mythology.
After all, my cat typed the name “Loki” when she was walking across my keyboard! What are the chances of that? It could not POSSIBLY be coincidence.
Prepare for a radical shift in this blog, people. I have seen the light. And it is Norse.

Actually, looking at my keyboard, I think it’s likely that her paw mashed the L, O, K, and I keys simultaneously. And the computer just HAPPENED to arrange them in that particular order? COINCIDENCE? I think not!

I think you all are sadly misinterpreting Catfish, due to the generation gap, as well as the species gap. Kids and cats today obviously condense the six-letter term, “low-key,” into the much faster to text message: “loki.”

My dog, Loki, says hi to your cat. He wishes he had one as a pal, but the other dogs in the house are not as fond of them as he is.
BTW he’s a 110 pound Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and his favorite toy is a polyester stuffed kitten. He sleep with it every night.
