David Silverman on Atheists Talk

David Silverman is an activist and the current president of American Atheists, the most prominent organization in the United States fighting for the civil liberties of atheists, and the total separation of church and state. David will be joining Atheists Talk this Sunday to discuss the upcoming 2014 National Convention in Salt Lake City, American Atheists billboards, and the CPAC controversy.

Stephanie Zvan is one of the hosts for the Minnesota Atheists' radio show and podcast, Atheists Talk. She serves on the board of Secular Woman. She speaks on science and skepticism in a number of venues, including science fiction and fantasy conventions. Stephanie has been called a science blogger and a sex blogger, but if it means she has to choose just one thing to be or blog about, she's decided she's never going to grow up.     Looking forward to hearing about the CPAC controversy. It would be nice if he’d admit he messed up, but I am by no means expecting that.

    I think David would have a greater impact if he used more humor and less inflammatory language. I myself love religious humor. I’ve heard him call organized religion a poison. That sort of language loses people. His pious tone can be a turnoff.
