My SkepchickCon Schedule

I’m running around for the next several days, so blogging will be sparse here. Tweeting may be up, however, if the con doesn’t overwhelm the local cell towers. If you want to find me, here is where I’m committed to be (full con schedule here).

Thursday through Saturday evenings:

I will be in the FtB party room, which is connected to the Skepchick party room. There will be booze for a modest fee (to pay for the party space). There will be buttons. There will be FtBers and Skepchicks and friends of both. There will be balconies with excellent vantages on the Jesi boffing. There will be great room designs by our friend Mel.

Yes, lurker, he is, and he’ll be damned good on it too. He has, after all, been a target of intense bullying nonstop for a year for standing next to Rebecca and other women who were being shouted down.

Ben, I’m not actually sure how that all works. We have some excellent volunteers who are handling that part of it.

Hoping the convo doesn’t get derailed…

And hoping everyone drinks responsibly. Meaning, they have marked a piece of floor off at least 5 and a half feet long for themselves. You can try to squeeze into 5 or just over five but it’s just not worth it.

    go get ’em, tiger! 🙂

Sounds like a brilliant schedule, I am proud of you! Very interested on your notes as to the nature/nurture thing. Food for thought:

#1 – Siena is still just as likely to claim to be a boy as she claims to be a zebra. Or a tiger.

#2 – Being exposed to boys seems to be what inspires her shifting role-playing. Lately she prefers to be the dragon they are training. Training hasn’t been going well.

#3 – At her age, Vincent was asking me to teach him to sing as highly-pitched as I myself do. However, he is also outstripping me on evil demon voices.

#4 – No amount of threatened toesie cracking deters either of them from discussing bodily functions – with glee – at the table.

So far, I am still solidly in the ‘it’s all nature’ camp. Nurture ain’t making a DENT!
    😉

(seriously, looking forward to your notes on the more exciting aspects. Con-grats! (er, well, almost, um, sorry….))
